A massive fire has erupted at a paper production and storage facility in Bydgoszcz. The blaze, which began late at night, has consumed the entire building, located on Petersona Street. Firefighters have been dispatched in large numbers to battle the flames.
32 Fire Units Deployed
According to senior officer Jarocka-Krzemkowska, the affected building is approximately 100 by 200 meters in size. “The situation remains uncontained and is, in fact, developing further,” she reported. Currently, 32 fire units are on-site, working tirelessly to control the fire.
All employees evacuated the facility before the fire spread. There are no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, as there is still no confirmation on whether the fire might endanger nearby buildings.
Officials have assured residents of Bydgoszcz that no toxic materials are burning, posing no health risks to the population. However, the firefighting operation is expected to continue for several hours due to the scale of the blaze.
