“I was right! Illegal migrants from Africa who claimed to be minors – most of them lied. They are now staying in the center in Lesznowola at the expense of Polish taxpayers,” said PiS MP Dariusz Matecki. The politician published online the reply he received from the Commander of the Maritime Division of the Border Guard.
“I was right.” PiS MP shows Border Guard’s reply regarding detained migrants
At the beginning of September this year, PiS MP Dariusz Matecki posted that “in the area of the Kijewo junction in Szczecin, two passenger vehicles were stopped – the drivers, Ukrainian citizens, were transporting a total of 9 foreigners, all of whom were detained.” He then submitted a series of questions to the Maritime Division of the Border Guard.
All foreigners detained on 04.09.2025 – namely 8 Somali citizens and 1 Sudanese citizen – were placed in the Guarded Center for Foreigners in Lesznowola, which is part of the Border Guard facility in Lesznowola. Out of this group, 8 declared themselves as minors and 1 declared adulthood. As a result of examinations, 1 Somali citizen and 1 Sudanese citizen were recognized as minors, the Border Guard indicated.
Age of the detained foreigners
In response to the MP’s question, “were these individuals classified as minors based on documented age, or on the basis of statements,” the Border Guard stated that “for 8 foreigners declaring to be under 18, radiological bone tests of the hand and wrist were carried out.”
The examination was conducted in a medical facility. “In the case of 2 foreigners (1 Somali citizen and 1 Sudanese citizen), age was determined as under 18,” the reply said.
According to the Border Guard’s reply, the exact ages of the detained persons are as follows:
“the age of 2 detained foreigners was estimated to be under 18, the age of 6 detained foreigners was estimated to be over 19.”
The detained individuals are currently staying in the Guarded Center for Foreigners in Lesznowola, which is part of the Border Guard facility in Lesznowola.
