Karol Nawrocki, Szymon Hołownia, Marek Jakubiak, and Krzysztof Stanowski voiced their opposition to the migration pact during the Presidential Debate broadcast on TV Republika. Joanna Senyszyn, on the other hand, believes that its implementation is necessary.
Karol Nawrocki stated that he is against the migration pact. “I’m also opposed to building integration centers for illegal migrants and to providing financial support to them. I’m alarmed by the government’s abdication of responsibility,” he added.
Hołownia declared that he is “against implementing the terms of the migration pact, including assigning Poland a quota of refugees to be relocated here.” “And the reason is simple — after the war in Ukraine broke out, we took in two million Ukrainian refugees. Every community has a limit when it comes to accepting people from abroad,” he added.
Senyszyn, in contrast, argued that the migration pact is necessary. “Because only a migration pact can bring order. Otherwise, migrants will come anyway — but there will be no order. Other countries will keep sending us their migrants, and we’ll have chaos,” she insisted.
Stanowski and Jakubiak also expressed opposition to the migration pact.
Marek Jakubiak said, “Someone stands to gain from the migration pact. Do we know who? Of course — the Germans. As recently as today, the German police published documents stating they’ve already sent 10,000 unfortunate souls our way. Meanwhile, the Polish government keeps claiming there are hardly any of them here. So I ask — who’s lying?”
