Missile Remains Discovered in the Lublin Region by Military Police

Just before midnight, the Military Police reported that operations were underway in the village of Choiny, in the Lublin region. It was added that “remains of a missile, likely used to shoot down a drone,” may be located there.

During the night of September 9-10, 21 Russian drones entered Polish airspace. Polish and allied forces stationed in the country were scrambled. Most of the unmanned aircraft were shot down. Media reports indicate that one of the missiles fired by an F-16 struck a house in Wyryki, destroying the building.

More than a week after this operation, the Military Police announced that activities were being conducted in Choiny, Lublin Voivodeship. Just before midnight, a statement was issued noting that “remains of a missile, likely used to shoot down a drone,” may be found there.

“Detailed procedural inspections of this object will be carried out on September 19 of this year by the Military Police Command in Lublin,” the statement added.
