“A strong message should go out from Rzeszów to all of Europe: We want the Three Seas Initiative, meaning a strengthened eastern flank of NATO and the EU based on an alliance with the United States. We will not let the U.S. be pushed out of Europe! We see what the current government in Poland is doing,” said Law and Justice (PiS) MP Mateusz Morawiecki during the CPAC Poland conference.
The CPAC Poland conference is taking place today in Rzeszów. During the event, MP Mateusz Morawiecki delivered a speech.
“I welcome our friends from the United States, from Poland, and from around the world. It’s a pleasure to be here with you. I welcome the friends of common sense, normality, and patriotism—things we are sorely lacking today. This great congress here in Rzeszów is a milestone on the path back to normalcy. I especially want to thank the excellent organizers, particularly the team from Republika. Thank you for putting this outstanding event together. It’s worth reflecting on where Europe stands at this point in history,” he said.
The politician pointed out that “Europe and its entire economic model are today, if not in ruins, then at least in a state of deep decline that requires rebuilding.”
“There is no longer cheap energy from Russia, because Russia invaded Ukraine. We have to take responsibility for our own security. There is no longer easy, cheap labor from Central Europe—something that was a great loss for us, but a benefit for Western Europe. China is now a major rival and opponent of the Western world. That’s why the transatlantic world, based on patriotism and sovereign states, must be strengthened once again. It must be rebuilt on the foundation of patriotism and common sense. This is the moment in history we find ourselves in, here in Rzeszów. At a time when the European Union is mired in bureaucracy—producing the thickest textbooks and most complex regulations on artificial intelligence, yet failing to develop a meaningful AI industry,” he stated.
In Morawiecki’s view, “we need to free ourselves from the shackles of bureaucracy and the Green Deal—which is destroying European industry—and this is essential to rebuilding military strength.”
“Military power once again matters in today’s world. The Chinese-Iranian-Russian alliance, along with North Korea, has reminded us of this in a brutal way. We need industry. We must break free from the Green Deal and the madness of distributing illegal migrants across Europe. Our presidential candidate, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, has said that one of his first actions upon taking office would be to withdraw from the EU migration pact—and he will do it. A man of strong character can make it happen,” he declared.
He added that “a strong voice should go out from Rzeszów to all of Europe: We want the Three Seas Initiative—strengthening NATO’s eastern flank and the EU through an alliance with the United States.”
“We will not let the U.S. be driven out of Europe! We see what the current Polish government is doing. We won’t allow the U.S. to be forced out, because that alliance is the foundation of prosperity and security for the entire Western world. We, the Polish people, stand with the United States,” he concluded.
