MP Łącki Attacks PiS on Hidden Debt After Benefiting from Recovery Plan Subsidy

“PiS rule means record inflation, exorbitant bills, and billions in hidden debts,” declared Civic Coalition MP Artur Łącki (original spelling preserved – ed.) on social media. His post was commented on by journalist Tomasz Duklanowski: “The guy’s got some nerve! He pocketed money from the Recovery Plan that we’ll be repaying for years, and now he talks about ‘hidden billions in debt’,” he reminded.

As it has been previously reported, everything indicates that Civic Coalition MP Artur Łącki and his family are linked to applications for funding the modernization of a hotel for an amount exceeding one million PLN. Ultimately, at least according to MP Łącki in a conversation with Niezalezna.pl, the subsidy granted amounted to 474,000 PLN. This is yet another shocking thread in the so-called Recovery Plan scandal.

Meanwhile, the same Łącki published a post on social media in which he complains about PiS’s billions in hidden debts.

“PiS rule means record inflation, exorbitant bills, and billions in hidden debts,” he wrote (original spelling preserved – ed.). He added: “Our rule means a stable economy and investments in the safety of Poles.”

Tomasz Duklanowski commented on this stance, pointing out that “the guy’s got some nerve.”

“He pocketed money from the Recovery Plan that we’ll be repaying for years, and now he talks about ‘hidden billions in debt’,”

 he emphasized.

Reminder

An analysis of the documents shows that the company O.W. “GRYF” Wioletta Łącka Limited Partnership submitted requests for quotations for the implementation of three investments under a project co-financed from the National Recovery Plan. The purpose of the program is to support businesses in the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, catering), which suffered as a result of the pandemic.

The total value of the planned investments is 1,014,657 PLN, consisting of:

  • 474,657 PLN for the “Creation of a winter garden at OW ‘GRYF’”, intended, among other things, for “casual corporate evenings.”
  • 324,000 PLN for “Adapting a room into a conference hall.”
  • 216,000 PLN for “Expansion and modernization of the restaurant hall”, allowing the venue to serve 20% more guests.
