Mularczyk on the Trump–Nawrocki Conversation: Americans Consider Karol a Great Ally

Arkadiusz Mularczyk, a Member of Parliament from the Law and Justice party, was a guest on the morning program on Radio Republika. He discussed topics including Donald Tusk’s role in Europe, immigration issues in Sweden, and Polish-American relations.

The MP, currently in Stockholm along with other members of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, began the interview by referring to the crime, gang wars, and sexual assaults in Sweden—issues he attributed to the country’s permissive approach to mass immigration.

On the New Swedish Government, Which Has Already Achieved Some Success on Immigration

“Here in Sweden, especially under the new government—supported by our allies, the Sweden Democrats, who came in second in the parliamentary elections—there is a major problem: gang wars, shootings, bomb attacks, and rapes. All of this makes illegal immigration one of the most pressing political issues. The Swedish government has had some success by introducing return restrictions, speeding up asylum rejections, and increasing the number of illegal immigrants returned to their home countries,” said Mularczyk.

Mularczyk on Tuesday’s Nawrocki–Trump Meeting

Mularczyk was also asked about the recent conversation between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump. He recalled that immediately after Nawrocki’s victory, many American media outlets reported that “Trump’s candidate had won in Poland.”

“That’s how Karol Nawrocki is perceived in the United States, and that’s how Americans see him. Donald Trump and his circle (…) consider Karol a great ally, and they view Poland as an important NATO country. (…) The American administration is well aware of what’s happening in Poland. After all, reports go out from the embassy here every day; think tanks and American media are closely monitoring developments in Poland,” Mularczyk emphasized.

Later in the conversation, the discussion turned to Donald Tusk’s role in Europe. The MP stated that Europe currently has a problem with the Polish Prime Minister, suggesting he has become a burden for the EU. The topic of the Green Deal was also raised in the context of a ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal.
