President Karol Nawrocki held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, during which he thanked the American leader for his “engagement and contribution to securing the release of Andrzej Poczobut,” the Chancellery of the President of Poland reported overnight from Sunday to Monday on X.
According to the President’s Office, the two leaders also discussed the current security situation. An important part of the conversation concerned issues related to the presence of U.S. troops in Europe.
Both leaders reaffirmed the strength and significance of the Polish–American alliance.
