Nawrocki’s Fiery Speech on Woronicza Street: “Today We’re on the Road to Victory”

“We are on the road to victory, and we will not waste this opportunity. On June 1st, together we will prove once again that it is worth being Polish, and that Poland is a great cause,” said Dr. Karol Nawrocki, the civic candidate for President of the Republic of Poland, speaking after the debate held at the illegally seized headquarters of TVP in liquidation.

On Friday evening, the first debate ahead of the presidential runoff between Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki took place. The candidates questioned each other in six thematic blocks.

After the debate, outside the illegally taken-over TVP building, Nawrocki addressed the gathered supporters, accompanied by his son, Daniel Nawrocki.

“Poland has not yet perished,” he began, quoting the opening line of the Polish national anthem, to which the crowd responded by chanting the same words.

“She has not perished and she will not perish, because we are here, and we are on a clear path to a shared victory for Poland and for all Poles,” he continued. “We cannot stray from this path—not this week. This will require even greater effort and mobilization from all of us. Just a little longer. Today, we are on the road to victory, and we will not let it slip away. On June 1st, we will show, together, that being Polish matters, and that Poland is a cause worth fighting for.”

He also commented on the attitude of his opponent, Rafał Trzaskowski, who, in Nawrocki’s view, “has already come to terms with defeat.”

“But we must not fall into complacency,” he warned. “We need to reach the summit and raise the white-and-red flag on June 1st. Let’s give it everything we’ve got—these are the final days, the final hours, and we are truly close to victory. I know you won’t lose your determination, because you are here with me. And I promise you this: I will always stand by you. If I become president, nothing will change—I’ll be with you, for you. I will serve Poland—free, sovereign, independent, strong, ambitious, and fully aware of our roots and our purpose. Long live Poland! Long live the Polish people! You are incredible—onward to victory!” — he concluded.
