As many as 59% of Poles are dissatisfied with the fact that Donald Tusk is the Prime Minister, according to the latest CBOS poll. A total of 48% of respondents declared themselves opponents of his government.
Widespread Dissatisfaction with Tusk’s Government – CBOS Poll
According to the poll, 32% of respondents in July declared support for the government – the same as in June. Meanwhile, 48% identified themselves as opponents of the government – an increase of 1 percentage point compared to the previous month.
Seventeen percent remain indifferent toward the government (a decrease of 2 percentage points from June); 3% answered “hard to say” (an increase of 1 percentage point).
“July brings no significant changes in the government’s ratings — the shifts in opinion compared to June fall within the statistical margin of error,” CBOS analysts assessed.
“Donald Tusk’s government is primarily supported by voters of the Civic Coalition (89%). In contrast, among Law and Justice (PiS) voters, support stands at only 3%, and the percentage of its opponents is exactly the same as the level of support among Civic Coalition voters – 89%,”
– the polling institute stated in its report.
When it comes to evaluating the government’s performance, 31% of respondents rated it positively (down 1 percentage point from June), while 58% rated it negatively (also down 1 percentage point).
Eleven percent (up 2 points from the previous survey) did not provide a clear assessment of the government’s performance.
In addition, 55% of those surveyed believe the current government’s policies do not offer any prospects for improving the economic situation, up from 51% in June.
Conversely, 33% of respondents think the government’s economic policy does offer such opportunities, compared to 37% in June.
Twelve percent, compared to 13% in June, answered “hard to say” when asked about their assessment of the government’s economic policy.
Fifty-nine percent of respondents declared they are not pleased that Donald Tusk is leading the government, compared to 58% last month.
Thirty-one percent expressed support for Tusk as Prime Minister, down from 32% in June.
Ten percent – the same as in June – selected “hard to say.”
CBOS notes that “in all aspects,” negative evaluations of the government prevail, and that “as in previous months, support for the government reflects the polarization of both the Polish political scene and society.”
The CBOS survey was conducted from July 3 to 13, 2025, on a representative, named sample of 970 adult residents of Poland. Interviews were carried out using face-to-face interviews (CAPI – 65.5% of interviews), telephone (CATI – 19.7%), and online (CAWI – 14.8%).
