During the trial of a 66-year-old retiree accused of threatening Jerzy Owsiak, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) founder lost his composure after being reminded of his campaign about ‘sepsis.’ “Owsiak knows well it’s only a matter of time before it comes to light how much of the money donated by people to the WOŚP went toward those billboards,” commented Law and Justice (PiS) MP Paweł Jabłoński.
In January, 66-year-old Ms. Iza, a retiree from Toruń, was arrested by police in her apartment. The deputy city police chief and the head of the criminal division personally took part in the operation – all because of an online comment the retiree had made about Jerzy Owsiak.
The elderly woman was accused of threatening Owsiak and apologized to him, as he demanded, but at the same time called on him to apologize for the “sepsis” campaign. That’s when Owsiak lost his temper. “I don’t believe a single word you say anymore. Thank you very much. I withdraw my offer of apology,” said the WOŚP head, participating in the hearing remotely.
The entire situation was commented on today by PiS MP Paweł Jabłoński.
A very nervous reaction from J. Owsiak when reminded of his involvement in the billboard campaign ‘We Will Defeat Sepsis’ (which he himself laughed about during a Civic Platform (PO) rally). Because – purely by coincidence, of course! – it happened to coincide with the election campaign. Owsiak knows well it’s only a matter of time before it comes to light how much of the money donated by people to the WOŚP went toward those billboards. And that’s exactly where the nerves come from, commented the PiS MP.
