Cybercriminals are sending fraudulent messages via email and SMS, reports the Cyberbezpieczeństwo24 portal.
A Telling Typo
According to alerts from the National Health Fund (NFZ) and the Center for e-Health (CeZ), the SMS and email messages contain a link to a fake website that closely mimics the official CeZ login page. Below the login panel, there is a notice about “updating data in the P-1 Zdrowie system” (in reality, the system is called e-Zdrowie) and the deletion of inactive accounts “within a week.” This is meant to pressure users into logging in.
A typo in the message—stating that accounts will be deleted “within 7 day” (instead of “days”)—reveals its fraudulent nature.
Entering login credentials as instructed will result in their theft by cybercriminals.
