Activists from the Border Defense Movement traveled many kilometers to defend Poland’s borders under the cover of night in Zgorzelec. It took only an hour for their efforts to bear fruit.
Poles involved in the Border Defense Movement regularly gather at the border to prevent illegal migrants—smuggled into Poland from Germany—from entering the country. These patriots are doing what they can. While most Poles are asleep, they take action in the name of national security.
This Is How the Border Defense Movement Operates
“Greetings from Zgorzelec to all border defenders. We’re on the move, and we’ll be patrolling by car,” the Border Defense Movement reported late Friday evening, checking in from Zgorzelec. Some members traveled over 400 kilometers from Kraków to take part in the patrol.
As it turned out, their presence paid off. The activists’ work yielded results.
“It’s midnight. We’ve encountered a dark-skinned individual speaking English. So far, he’s told us he came from Munich. We can’t check his documents ourselves, but we’re waiting for the Border Guard to arrive. One of our members is communicating with him in English,” they reported in a follow-up video.
