Official Confirmation: 21 Russian Drones Crossed Into Polish Airspace

The head of the Presidential Office for International Policy, Marcin Przydacz, confirmed in an interview on Radio ZET the reports published by Niezalezna.pl and TV Republika regarding the violation of Polish airspace by more than twenty Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. He stated that it was not 19 drones, as authorities had previously reported, but 21 that crossed the border. The Polish Armed Forces are still searching for all the machines that either crashed or were shot down.

During the morning interview on Radio ZET, Minister Marcin Przydacz addressed the issue of Russian drones that had recently breached Poland’s border.

In doing so, he confirmed the findings of Free Speech Zone media outlets, which were the first to report that at least 20 drones had entered.

“According to the latest information from the Presidential Chancellery, it was not 19, as initially reported, but 21 drones that crossed the Polish border,” Przydacz clarified. He also added that the incursions varied in nature: “Some of these drones would cross in, stay for only several seconds, and then return,” he said.

The Threat Has Been Neutralised

The presidential minister noted that as of Thursday evening, not all of the drones had yet been located. However, he stressed that the Polish Armed Forces had taken decisive measures to neutralise the threat. A full report on the matter is still pending.

The presidential aide made it clear that the very presence of such objects over Polish territory posed a serious risk. “If a 200-kilogram drone flies over Poland, it already represents a threat in itself, should it crash or something occur,” he argued. He added that the military is still analysing whether the drones carried other forms of danger.

Risk of Further Incidents

When asked about the possibility of similar incidents happening again, Marcin Przydacz reminded listeners of the scale of Russia’s military operations near Poland’s borders.

He pointed out that Russia is capable of launching several hundred drones toward Ukraine every day.

“From this downpour of drones, one cannot say with 100 percent certainty that none will once again stray across our border,” he warned. He emphasised that, while he does not assume such a scenario will occur, it is necessary to prepare for every eventuality. “We must be prepared for the possibility of such situations. I don’t expect them, but for our safety, it is better that we remain aware of this risk,” the minister concluded.
