Karol Nawrocki’s campaign team has released a new promotional video about the civic candidate for President of the Republic of Poland. This time, those closest to the President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) speak about him.
“We were — in our Polish Pope — our whole family was in love and joyful. We knew what it meant for Poland. Karol was named after Karol Wojtyła,”
says Karol Nawrocki’s mother in the video released on Thursday.
The recording presents the presidential candidate through the eyes of his loved ones. From it, we learn what the family of the IPN president values in him, as well as details about the historian’s childhood.
“I think about it with bliss when I go back to the 1990s. It was a happy childhood, free from any major problems. It was also modest because we lived modestly. A working-class district of Gdańsk… My family home — I would say it was a traditional home,”
the historian recounts in the video.
