In response to attacks on President Karol Nawrocki following his veto of SAFE, the head of the Warsaw club of the Gazeta Polska Clubs, Adam Borowski, announced a spontaneous demonstration in front of the Presidential Palace “in defense against the industry of contempt.” Opponents of the current head of state also began organizing on social media and gathered at the same location. A well-known actress also joined this group.
After President Karol Nawrocki announced his decision regarding the EU SAFE loan, a powerful wave of hysteria erupted within the ruling camp. Various accusations and descriptions were directed at the head of state. Adam Borowski, head of the Warsaw club of the Gazeta Polska Clubs, responded by calling for “the defense of the president against the industry of contempt.”
“We call for the defense of the president. We will defend him against calumny, defamation and being smeared with mud,” the head of the Warsaw GP club stressed in an interview with the portal Niezalezna.pl.
He had announced a spontaneous demonstration for Friday, March 13 at 4:00 p.m. in front of the Presidential Palace.

Joanna Szczepkowska encouraged her followers on Facebook to organize and take part in a counter-demonstration. The actress emphasized that she would head to the Presidential Palace in the afternoon. “There is no doubt that the time has come to leave our homes. I will go to the palace after 4 p.m., on Saturday at 12, and on Sunday as well, but I will write when.”
“Later it will be necessary to organize not only a protest, but also support for the government. I hope that all street organizations will take care of the logistics,” she added in the further part of her post.
