Jarosław Kaczyński once again spoke on the day of another monthly commemoration of the Smoleńsk disaster. He said that President Lech Kaczyński died because he had the courage to block the expansion of Russian imperialism. He added that the president was dangerous because he was able to build around himself a network of leaders from post-Soviet states who, by acting together in the field of energy, could have posed a threat to Russia. In his speech, he also referred to the National Recovery Plan (KPO).
The speech was, as usual, drowned out by groups openly supporting the current authorities.
President Kaczyński was dangerous for Putin
Kaczyński said that if, during President Lech Kaczyński’s lifetime, a strong anti-Russian coalition of post-Soviet states had been formed, it would have been much harder for Putin to attack Ukraine. President Kaczyński had the ability to build such a coalition, which is why, according to the PiS chairman, he had to die.
The Polish government and services are not fulfilling their duties
Referring to those disrupting the speech, he said that the special services should take an interest in them, but “unfortunately, for now we have a government and services that are not fulfilling their duties”. He added that the time will come when these people will find themselves where they belong – in prison – and the new government of Poland will pursue Polish interests.
KPO means the Feeding Trough of the Civic Platform
The PiS chairman also said that those currently employed in government institutions fear a change of power. Referring to the KPO scandal, he decided to expand the acronym. According to him, KPO means Koryto Platformy Obywatelskiej (Feeding Trough of the Civic Platform).
“This is the truth about these governments. This is the truth about what is happening in Poland today. And we must put an end to this. And we will!” Kaczyński concluded.
