PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński Outlines Ambitious Strategy Ahead: “A Lot of Work Awaits Us”

“It will be possible to amass great wealth, but in an honest way. (…) The wealth of the entire nation, of the entire state, should be distributed fairly so that those who have fared worse in life also have some chance at a dignified life. This is extremely important to us,” emphasized PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński during his programmatic speech closing the Thinking Poland (Myśląc Polska) convention. He also spoke about a major change and PiS’s plans to hold meetings across Poland.

The two-day programmatic convention of the Law and Justice Party (PiS) was concluded with a summarizing speech by the party leader Jarosław Kaczyński. In his programmatic address, he presented a plan meant to convince Poles that “things can be done differently” and that the upcoming change will be beneficial.

The PiS leader emphasized that opportunities will also open up for those dreaming of honestly acquiring great wealth.

It will be possible to acquire it, but in an honest way – by creating new values, which will also be values for our homeland, which will strengthen us. But the world is structured so that the vast majority of people must be content with average wealth and such financial means. Some even with more modest ones. It is absolutely fundamental and proper for our formation and our political, ideological, and religious convictions that this average be at a decent level. The wealth of the entire nation, of the entire state, should be distributed fairly – so that those who have fared worse in life also have some chance at a dignified life. This is extremely important to us,” Kaczyński emphasized.

Major change

Referring to a global trend, he recalled the unwritten coalition of the democratic world, which in fact was formed after World War II. He noted that conservative-leaning parties have recently been behind major victories, often against previously prevailing trends.

“We must fit into this major change, and even be its initiators. We must ensure that Europe is different than it is today,” said the PiS leader. He emphasized that it should be free from corruption and “crazy ideologies” and united around a broader idea of global democracy “in defense against the onslaught of totalitarianism and authoritarianism.”

He then listed areas that require permanent reforms, such as the armed forces, which must adapt to current conditions of armed conflicts. According to Kaczyński, special attention should be paid to necessary changes in public finances, healthcare, and the judiciary.

Meetings across Poland

“There’s a lot of work ahead of us. This convention showed that we can do it. (…) We must organize dozens of smaller conferences on specific issues because many differing opinions need to be brought to one common decision. This won’t happen by itself; it simply has to be prepared,” the party leader announced.

He added that party members now face enormous work, which will begin with meetings. “We must establish very intensive contact with society,” Kaczyński emphasized.

Among the party’s plans are, among other things, meetings with Poles. The PiS leader announced that leading party politicians will visit every county, and even every municipality, before the next parliamentary elections.
