PiS Prime Ministerial Nominee. President Nawrocki: Whoever It Is, This Person Will Outperform Tusk

“Regardless of who it turns out to be, it will certainly, in the long term, be a better prime minister than Donald Tusk,” said President Karol Nawrocki when asked about Law and Justice’s candidate for prime minister.

In February, the leader of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, announced that a decision had already been made regarding who would be his party’s candidate for prime minister. As reported by the portal Niezalezna.pl, this individual’s name is known to only a very small circle of party politicians.

Moreover, Niezależna.pl has learned that the candidate will be publicly presented later this week. The following day, he is expected to begin a series of meetings across Poland.

During the European Congress of Local Governments, President Karol Nawrocki was asked who PiS might put forward as a potential head of government. He admitted that he does not know the name.

“I have so many responsibilities as President of Poland that this may surprise you, and perhaps you as well, Madam Editor, but party politics has never drawn me in, and it does not draw me in now when I am President of Poland,”

he stated.

However, he did not refrain from expressing his opinion regarding the current head of government. “Regardless of who it turns out to be, it will certainly, in the long term, be a better prime minister than Donald Tusk,” he said.

According to Niezależna.pl findings, PiS will present its candidate for prime minister on March 7 in Kraków. The announcement will take place at the Sokół Hall, where in 2024, Chairman Kaczyński introduced Nawrocki as a civic candidate for president.
