Poland engulfed by fires. Ziobro has no doubt: “A commission should take up the matter”

“A plague of fires. Is Tusk endangering the lives of Poles because persecuting the opposition is more important?” – wonders former Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro. Where are the Polish security services in all this…?

Cezary Gmyz, investigative journalist for TV Republika, posted the following statement on social media today:

“I’m hearing from several sources that counterintelligence in Poland is completely failing. And it’s all because of technology. Security service officers have been ordered to prioritize investigations into PiS (Law and Justice). As a result, instead of gathering intel on the Russians, the tech is being used to go after PiS.”

Ziobro responds

Former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro responded to this information. The Law and Justice politician confirmed that he too has been receiving similar signals. But he also pointed out another very important issue – the wave of fires spreading across the country. Examples are not hard to find:

“A plague of fires. Is Tusk endangering the lives of Poles because persecuting the opposition is more important?” – the MP asks.

“I also received such information from one of the officers – already several months ago. If these situations are indeed occurring, it’s no wonder the Internal Security Agency (ABW) appears powerless in the face of a fire plague, the damages of which are already in the hundreds of millions of zloty, with total losses possibly reaching into the billions,”

reads Ziobro’s post.

If ABW officers are encountering a “bottleneck” in the form of political whims from Donald Tusk and Tomasz Siemoniak, and their actions against real threats are being blocked or deliberately deprioritized – then we have a serious problem. This threat concerns not only large-scale property but also the health and lives of Polish citizens, the former head of the Justice Ministry continues.

Will a commission investigate the case?

In Ziobro’s view, “in such a situation, the matter should be immediately taken up by the committee for special services.”

“We may be dealing not only with a massive scandal but also with a serious crime,” he added.
