Poland Expels Group of Ukrainians, Imposes Up to 10-Year Entry Ban

The Border Guard (SG) expelled 15 Ukrainian citizens from Poland, who had been repeatedly convicted of crimes and offenses – the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) reported. In total, more than 1,100 foreigners have been forced to leave Poland in 2025 alone.

The Ukrainian citizens were forcibly escorted to the border by the Border Guard and handed over to the Ukrainian side. They had been convicted of, among others, possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances, theft, robbery, forgery, drunk driving, as well as organizing illegal border crossings into Poland. One of the individuals was listed among those whose stay in Poland is considered undesirable.

The data of the expelled foreigners have been entered into the register of persons undesirable in Poland. At the same time, they were issued with a ban on re-entering Poland for a period of 5 to 10 years.

“Poland is a friendly country, open to foreigners. However, there is no and will be no consent for them to break the law, regardless of their country of origin. The MSWiA services will respond firmly in cases of violations of our legal order” – said MSWiA spokesperson Karolina Gałecka.

Since the beginning of the year, 1,100 foreigners have been forced to leave Poland – the ministry reported.

It recalled that the legal basis for obligating foreigners to return is primarily Article 302 of the 2013 Act on Foreigners, i.e. reasons of defense or state security, protection of public security and order, or the interest of the Republic of Poland.
