    Poland Finishes Ninth at the European Handball Championship

    The European Women’s Handball Championship, co-hosted by Hungary, Austria, and Switzerland, is nearing its conclusion. Denmark secured a semifinal spot from Group II after defeating the Netherlands 30:26 in Vienna. Earlier, Norway advanced from the same group, while France and Hungary secured their places from Debrecen.

    Poland’s Ninth-Place Finish

    Poland concluded the tournament in ninth place, benefitting from a favorable goal difference. This was decided after Slovenia suffered a heavy 16:35 defeat against Germany. Despite not making it to the top eight, Poland’s performance ensured a respectable finish in a highly competitive championship.

    The semifinals in Vienna on Friday will feature France against Denmark and Hungary against Norway. Meanwhile, the Netherlands and Sweden will face off for fifth place. The championship’s bronze medal match and final are scheduled for Sunday.
