Poland-Jordan Military Collaboration: Strengthening Special Forces

Poland and Jordan recently showcased their robust military partnership during a high-profile visit by Polish President Andrzej Duda to Jordan. Together with King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom, the leaders observed joint exercises between Polish GROM units and Jordanian special forces at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC). President Duda emphasized the benefits of this collaboration, noting that it enhances the skills of Polish troops while fostering experience exchange in diverse operational terrains.

    Enhancing Training and Cooperation

Polish soldiers stationed at KASOTC play a pivotal role in strengthening Jordan’s special forces capabilities. Since 2016, Poland has supported the Global Coalition against ISIS by deploying contingents to the region, with KASOTC serving as a key training hub. President Duda highlighted the mutual advantages of this partnership, which improves the readiness of both nations’ elite forces.

During his visit, President Duda honored General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of Jordan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Poland. The gesture underscored the strong ties between the two nations’ armed forces.
