Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda was asked on Wednesday why, given the current situation in Poland’s healthcare system, she would not resign. She stressed that she has a contract with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“Every day, in accordance with that contract, I continue my work,” the minister said.
During a press conference on the government’s healthcare reform package, Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda was asked by a journalist why, in light of the recent developments in Poland’s healthcare system, she had not stepped down.
“As Long as We Continue This Contract…”
“I have a contract with the Prime Minister. Every day, in accordance with that contract, I continue my work. As you can see, a great deal of legislation has been introduced and many decisions have been made over the past eleven months. As long as the Prime Minister and I continue this contract, I will remain at the Ministry of Health,” she emphasized.
Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda has served as Minister of Health since July 2025. She succeeded Izabela Leszczyna in the position.
