Poland Stands in Solidarity with Israel Amidst Unprecedented Hamas Attacks

President Andrzej Duda of Poland assured President Isaac Herzog of Israel that Poland stands firmly with the nation in the wake of an unprecedented wave of rocket attacks by the Palestinian militant group Hamas. The assurance of solidarity comes at a crucial moment when Israel faces one of the deadliest attacks in years, with devastating consequences.

In a phone call between the two leaders, President Duda conveyed Poland’s strong commitment to Israel’s security and condemned the heinous actions of Hamas. He emphasized the need to protect civilian lives and voiced support for any actions aimed at restoring security in the region. President Duda made it clear that Israel has the inherent right to defend its citizens from threats to their lives and well-being.

“I’ve had a phone call with President IsaacHerzog to whom I conveyed our solidarity with Israel. I condemned Hamas’ attack, especially the acts of violence against civilians. I assured of the Polish support for the actions aimed at restoring security. Israel has a right to protect the life of its citizens,”

Duda wrote on the X platform on Saturday night.

This pledge of support was echoed by President Duda on social media earlier on Saturday, where he expressed shock and condemnation of the brutal attacks on Israel by Hamas. The rocket attacks and the detention of civilians as hostages were vehemently denounced by the Polish President. He emphasized that Poland strongly condemns all acts of violence.

“I’m shocked by today’s brutal attacks on Israel by Hamas. Rocket attacks and detention of civilians as hostages arouse our deepest opposition. Poland strongly condemns all acts of violence,”

Duda wrote on the X platform.

In addition to his condemnation, President Duda extended his deepest sympathy and condolences to all those affected by these attacks. The toll of this unprecedented assault on Israel has been devastating, with around 300 Israelis killed and at least 1,590 wounded, marking it as one of the deadliest attacks the country has witnessed in years.

The situation in Israel remains tense, with citizens living in fear and uncertainty as the conflict continues to escalate. The assurance of solidarity from Poland serves as a reminder that in times of crisis, nations must come together to support one another and condemn acts of violence that threaten innocent lives.
