    Poland Welcomes Allied Decision to Donate Modern Fighter Jets to Ukraine

    Poland has welcomed the decision made by the governments of the Netherlands and Denmark to contribute modern fighter jets to Ukraine. The country’s foreign minister, Zbigniew Rau, expressed his enthusiasm through a statement posted on the X social media platform.

    Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed that following discussions with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Sunday, an agreement was reached. The Netherlands pledged to furnish Ukraine with a total of 42 F-16 fighter jets. President Zelensky indicated that the delivery of the aircraft would occur post-completion of training programs for pilots and maintenance personnel.

    Subsequently, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen engaged in talks with President Zelensky and confirmed Denmark’s contribution to Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Denmark is set to supply a total of 19 F-16 fighter jets. This combined effort underscores the solidarity among nations in supporting Ukraine during these challenging times.
