Police officers and firefighters appeared outside the headquarters of TV Republika. “We are waiting for information from the services,” the station’s programming director Michał Rachoń wrote. Meanwhile, police have spoken only about “specific activities” being carried out, without providing any concrete details.
On Wednesday afternoon, police and fire brigade units arrived outside the headquarters of TV Republika in Warsaw. Hosts of a live program decided to find out what had actually happened.
“Why is there a police car outside our headquarters?” program host Magdalena Bałkowiec asked while contacting the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters.
“We confirm that police officers are present outside one of the buildings at Bankowy Square. Of course, they are carrying out specific activities. Everything is being done with the safety of residents in mind. These are all the details we can provide at this moment,” said Junior Asp. Bartłomiej Śniadała from the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters.
The officer concluded the brief and mysterious statement by saying that he could not reveal any further information “due to the interests of the ongoing activities.”
