For several days now, there have been coordinated attacks on TV Republika and its employees, while the services of Donald Tusk are still unable to identify the perpetrators. It has now emerged that the man detained in the case is innocent, and the police have begun speaking about traces leading abroad and an eastern angle to the case. Politicians of the December 13 coalition, instead of taking real action to clarify the matter, prefer to attack and mock TV Republika, and the chaotic actions of the services appear to suit them.
Yesterday, the police announced a success in connection with the detention of a 53-year-old man who was allegedly involved in a series of false reports concerning TV Republika and its journalists. Today, however, it turns out that the man has nothing to do with the attacks – on the contrary, he is one of their victims.
In its latest statement, the police have clearly changed their narrative, writing about a coordinated and well-prepared attack.
“The proceedings are ongoing. Officers of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters, with the support of specialists from the Central Cybercrime Bureau, the Central Bureau of Investigation, and in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing intensive efforts to identify and detain those responsible for organizing and distributing false alarms. The materials indicate large-scale actions that required proper planning and time coordination,” the statement reads.
It was also admitted that individual threads of the case lead beyond the country’s borders, and the so-called eastern angle is also being examined.
The police statement and the emergence of the eastern angle were addressed by the CEO of TV Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz. It should be recalled that recently police officers entered his Warsaw office, handcuffing his assistant.
“If Russian services are behind the attack on my apartment, it means that the police, under the influence of Russian services, stormed the editor-in-chief’s office without a warrant, deprived an innocent woman of her liberty and humiliated her, and prepared for unlawful actions on Moscow’s orders by concealing their identity and violating numerous regulations,” Sakiewicz wrote on the X platform.
The chaotic communications of the services in this case do not seem to bother those in power, who are not initiating any actions in this regard. Quite the opposite – the harassment of employees of the largest news station in Poland appears to be convenient for them.
“Russians no longer need to send drones and missiles to destabilize the state. It is enough that they call 112,” Sakiewicz added.
