Polish Prime Minister Extends Condolences to Families of Indian Train Crash Victims

Poland’s Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the victims of a devastating train crash that took place in eastern India on Friday night.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Morawiecki shared his sympathies, stating, “Hundreds of people have died in a train accident in India. I extend my condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Indian nation.”

Acknowledging the profound pain and anguish being experienced, Morawiecki added, “The cry of your suffering has reached Poland – and though we cannot take away your pain, know that we are with you.”

The collision involving two passenger trains and a freight train in the eastern part of the country resulted in a staggering death toll of at least 288 individuals, with nearly 900 others sustaining injuries. Authorities express concerns that the number of casualties may continue to rise as a result of this catastrophic disaster.
