In a village within the Rozogi municipality in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, the body of a man has been discovered, leading to suspicions of a possible shooting. According to media reports, the man may have been shot, though authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of death.
Police were alerted to the presence of the body on a property within the municipality. According to Senior Sergeant Emilia Pławska from the Szczytno police, efforts are currently underway to apprehend the suspect, whose identity and whereabouts are known to law enforcement.
At this stage, the police have refrained from confirming whether the victim died from a gunshot wound. “It’s too early to discuss specific details. Police activities are ongoing at the scene,” said Staff Sergeant Rafał Jackowski of the Warmian-Masurian police.
Questions about the possible involvement of an anti-terrorist unit in the apprehension of the suspect were also left unanswered. “For the sake of the ongoing investigation, I cannot disclose information about police tactics or the forces deployed,” Jackowski stated.
He also dismissed local media claims that a man was seen running through the village armed.
