President Andrzej Duda Hosts Safety Awareness Event for Children

President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda welcomed children from across Poland to the Presidential Palace gardens on Tuesday. The event aimed to educate young participants on safe behavior during summer activities and appropriate responses in emergency situations. The President thanked the children for coming to Warsaw and expressed gratitude to the Polish Army and various services for sharing their expertise in avoiding danger and saving lives when necessary.

    Honoring Young Heroes

During the event, President Duda awarded six young individuals the Medals for Sacrifice and Courage. These children were recognized for their brave actions in providing help during difficult situations, thereby saving lives and protecting health. President Duda highlighted the importance of knowing how to help others not only during the summer holidays but also in everyday life. He encouraged the children to explore the booths set up by soldiers, rescuers, and officers from different services.

This year’s event features several hundred children who, along with the Presidential couple, will participate in activities organized by uniformed services, rescue teams, and other institutions. The children will learn essential safety rules for summer activities, whether in the mountains, by the water, or in cyberspace. These interactive sessions are designed to equip the young participants with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe in various environments and situations.
