    President Duda Holds Talks with Election Committee Representatives

    President Duda meets electoral committee representatives in Poland, discussing government formation and constitutional norms for the 10th parliamentary term. On Tuesday and Wednesday (October 24-25), at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, consultations will take place at the Presidential Palace with representatives of individual electoral committees that will have their presence in the 10th term of the Polish Parliament.


    President Andrzej Duda of Poland held discussions with representatives from electoral committees set to have a presence in the upcoming 10th term of the Polish Parliament. At the Presidential Palace, Duda met with delegates from the Law and Justice Electoral Committee (KW Prawo i Sprawiedliwość) and the Civic Coalition Electoral Committee (KKW Koalicja Obywatelska PO .N IPL Zieloni). Consultations with representatives of other electoral committees, including the Third Way Polish People’s Party – Poland 2050 of Szymon Hołowni, the New Left Electoral Committee (KW Nowa Lewica), and the Confederation Freedom and Independence (KW Konfederacja Wolność i Niepodległość), are scheduled for tomorrow.

    Midday discussions began with the representatives of the Law and Justice Electoral Committee, led by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, and Law and Justice spokesperson Rafał Bochenek.

    Present during the talks were the Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Grażyna Ignaczak–Bandych, and the Head of the President’s Cabinet, Marcin Mastalerek.

    After 2:00 PM, discussions commenced with delegates from the Civic Coalition Electoral Committee, represented by Donald Tusk, Chairman of the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska), Marcin Kierwiński, Secretary of the Committee, Adam Szłapka, Chairman of .Nowoczesna, Barbara Nowacka, Chair of the Polish Initiative (Inicjatywa Polska), and Urszula Zielińska, Chair of the Green Party (Partia Zieloni).

    Accompanying President Duda were Grażyna Ignaczak–Bandych, Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Marcin Mastalerek, Head of the President’s Cabinet, Minister Wojciech Kolarski, and Minister Małgorzata Paprocka.

    Minister Grażyna Ignaczak–Bandych reported that the meetings with representatives of Law and Justice and the Civic Coalition were conducted in a positive atmosphere.

    President Duda congratulated Law and Justice on their election victory and recognized the strong electoral performance of the Civic Coalition. Both groups have put forward their candidates for the position of Prime Minister and expressed their intent to form a government. Minister Ignaczak–Bandych emphasized that during the meetings, the President assured his commitment to upholding constitutional norms and deadlines related to convening the first session of the Sejm and appointing a new Council of Ministers.

    The President is keen on effective collaboration with the government, particularly in the broad spectrum of national security and international affairs, added Grażyna Ignaczak–Bandych, Head of the Chancellery of the President.


    On Tuesday and Wednesday (October 24-25), at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, consultations will take place at the Presidential Palace with representatives of individual electoral committees that will have their presence in the 10th term of the Polish Parliament. The meetings will be held separately with each of the electoral committees, in an order corresponding to the results achieved by these committees in the elections.

    On Tuesday (October 24), meetings are scheduled with representatives of the Law and Justice Electoral Committee (at 12:00 p.m) and the Civic Coalition Electoral Committee (at 02:00 p.m). Meanwhile, on Wednesday (October 25), the President of Poland will meet with representatives of the Third Way Polish People’s Party – Poland 2050 Szymon Hołowni Electoral Committee (at 11:00 a.m), the New Left Electoral Committee (at 01:00 p.m), and the Confederation Freedom and Independence Electoral Committee (at 02:00 p.m).
