According to the head of the President’s Office, the Polish President’s Office has officially received the prime minister’s requests for feedback on the potential dismissal of key heads within various security agencies.
The proposed dismissals target the leaders of significant entities such as the Internal Security Agency, the Intelligence Agency, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Military Counterintelligence Service, and the Military Intelligence Service.
Donald Tusk, the new prime minister of Poland, has secured approval for these dismissals from two pivotal bodies—the Council for Secret Services and the Parliamentary Committee for Special Services.
The next crucial step involves obtaining the president’s consent, as the Tusk-led government is determined to replace officials appointed by the former ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, perceived by the government coalition as loyalists.
Grazyna Ignaczak-Bandych, the head of the President’s Office, confirmed the reception of Tusk’s proposals on Wednesday, signaling the commencement of the process.
