Tense international situation
During the ceremony, the President also referred to the international situation, unfolding around the end of the war in Ukraine. He stressed that in the so-called coalition of the willing, whose representatives meet on Monday in Washington, Poland has for some time been represented by the government. He added that it was the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who invited European leaders to talks in Washington.
“In the last week I took part in two talks with the President of the United States and European leaders. Today the so-called coalition of the willing is meeting, and they were invited by President Volodymyr Zelensky, while I – the President of Poland – on September 3 will be in Washington at the invitation of Donald Trump,” Nawrocki explained.
