Karol Nawrocki-Keir Starmer Talks

The talks with Starmer will focus on security issues, including negotiations on peace in Ukraine. A plenary meeting chaired by both politicians will then take place.

After the welcome at 10 Downing Street, before the one-on-one meeting, the President mentioned to the head of the British government yesterday’s meeting with the Polish diaspora and thanked him for the many years of hospitality extended to Poles in the UK.

Starmer noted that this was Nawrocki’s first visit to the Prime Minister’s residence. The President of Poland replied that it was his first time at Downing Street, but that he had visited London many times before.

“This is my first time at Downing Street, but not my first time in London. Of course, Poland and the United Kingdom have maintained relations for decades,” said Karol Nawrocki.

He thanked the British Prime Minister for the invitation and also emphasized Starmer’s role in the European security alliance.

“We have a well-integrated Polish community in the UK,” the President acknowledged.
