President Nawrocki Reveals What He Heard from Donald Trump: “He Supports You — That’s Very Good”

President Karol Nawrocki, during a meeting at the Presidential Palace with former president Andrzej Duda, returned to the subject of a meeting he held with U.S. President Donald Trump during the election campaign. It was an unprecedented event. “Many people worked to make it happen,” Nawrocki said, explaining what he heard from Trump.

During the meeting at the Presidential Palace—whose main focus was the former president’s book It Was Me—Andrzej Duda recalled the moments when he first met Karol Nawrocki and when he learned that Nawrocki would be the candidate for president.

“I knew I was dealing with a man who understood the responsibility he was taking on—not only by running for the office of President of the Republic of Poland, but also by conducting his campaign, and doing so in a very dignified manner. I had no doubts that this was a man I should support,” Duda stated.

Later, President Nawrocki reflected on key moments of the election campaign.

“Being an underdog in a presidential race is inspiring. The real satisfaction comes from defeating a candidate who assumes from the very beginning that he will become president and win the race,” Nawrocki noted. “I had the opportunity to observe President Duda’s campaign and to assist in it,” he added, emphasizing that he co-organized one of Andrzej Duda’s campaign meetings in Gdańsk. He also said he drew lessons from previous campaigns: “By observing the scale of attacks in that campaign, I knew what to expect in my own.”

The Meeting at the White House: What Did Nawrocki Hear from Trump?

An extremely important moment of the 2025 election campaign was the meeting between presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki and the sitting President of the United States, Donald Trump.

“I don’t think it has ever happened before that a presidential candidate met with a sitting U.S. president. Many people worked to make this happen. Behind every candidate stand wonderful people—campaign teams and family members. There was major merit and involvement from Adam Bielan, Nikodem Rachoń, and our American friends,” Karol Nawrocki listed, adding that “President Trump’s willingness to meet with me was strong.”

Details of the meeting were also revealed.

“During that discussion, President Trump asked me to convey his greetings to President Duda and said: ‘Duda supports you. That’s very good,’” Nawrocki recalled.

Andrzej Duda also acknowledged that the meeting in the Oval Office was of great significance. “Already as a candidate, he did an excellent job at the White House. He reinforced Donald Trump’s conviction that Poland is worth investing in and worth investing one’s time in,” the former president concluded.
