After the official welcome in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki and Volodymyr Zelenskyy proceeded to the White Hall for a one-on-one meeting. The Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP) announced the topics of the talks, with the most important being security, historical issues, and economic matters.
The official visit of the President of Ukraine to Poland began with a ceremonial welcome in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace. Karol Nawrocki and Volodymyr Zelenskyy then went to the White Hall, where, during the one-on-one meeting, the presidents were to discuss security, historical issues, and economic matters.
Presidential spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz announced that Nawrocki would personally assure Zelenskyy of Poland’s continued support for Ukraine; the presidents are also expected to discuss Poland’s contribution to Ukraine’s reconstruction and the competitiveness of Ukrainian agriculture; moreover, the president is to appeal for the launch of search and exhumation works in Volhynia.
Further points of the visit
After the leaders’ talks, both delegations will also join the discussions. The topics and conclusions of the talks will be presented during a joint press conference by the presidents. This is Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s first visit to Warsaw since Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as president.
The meetings in Warsaw do not end there. In the afternoon, Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet the Marshals of the Sejm and the Senate, as well as Prime Minister Tusk.
