“As usual, one has to speak here amid shouting and screaming. Russian agents, Putin’s agents are operating here. What we believe, and what will certainly happen, is that a day will come when independent, honest courts will resolve this problem. Once and for all,” said the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Kaczyński, at the Smolensk Victims Monument. As every month, the commemoration of the tragedy was disrupted by provocateurs.
Exactly one month ago marked the 16th anniversary of the Smolensk air disaster. Today, at the Smolensk monument in Warsaw, groups of provocateurs once again appeared, attacking those wishing to commemorate another monthly observance of the tragedy.
PiS Leader: We Will Always Be Here
At Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of Law and Justice (PiS), addressed the aggressors disrupting the ceremony with the following words:
“As usual, one has to speak here amid shouting and screaming. Russian agents, Putin’s agents are operating here. What we believe, and what will certainly happen, is that a day will come when independent, honest courts will resolve this problem. Once and for all. These people will not be able to appear here, because they will simply be somewhere else. And even after leaving that place, they will be banned for many, many years from coming here and disrupting these ceremonies,” the politician said.
“I repeat: such a day will come. We must fight for it – fight hard,” he added.
“A significant part of our society does not want to accept this truth – a hard, painful, unpleasant, dangerous truth about the attack, about the crime committed by Putin and his associates. Also those who are in Poland, because this was not only a Russian operation. It was also an operation of certain circles in Poland,” he explained.
As Kaczyński emphasized – “the claim that there is no evidence is a lie, a lie and yet another lie. This must be remembered.”
“We will be here in a month, in many months – we will be here in a year. We will be here whenever necessary. No actions, no shouting, no accusations, no insults – to which, unfortunately, the police do not respond, although they have a legal obligation to do so – will stop us. But a time will come when they will respond with full determination. Be sure of that – we are heading toward victory, and we will win,” he announced.
