Przydacz fires back at Giertych over U.S. support in the Strait of Hormuz: “Listen, you manipulator”

The head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, responded firmly to insinuations made by Civic Platform (KO) MP Roman Giertych regarding his stance on the conflict involving Iran. The exchange erupted following the lawyer’s comments on the situation around the Strait of Hormuz and the role of Western countries. The presidential minister’s reply was direct and exceptionally sharp.

“You understood very little, Romek”

Sunday’s statement on Polsat News by Marcin Przydacz, head of the President’s International Policy Bureau, was used by Roman Giertych to launch yet another attack on the opposition. The issue concerned the situation in the Strait of Hormuz region and possible Western actions in response to escalating tensions in the Middle East. Przydacz referred to the blockade of this strategic shipping route by the ayatollah regime, emphasizing the need for allied solidarity within NATO:

“Western allies with appropriate naval capabilities should support the Americans not only in their own interest, but also in the name of Euro-Atlantic solidarity,” he noted.

The presidential minister’s neutral statement was met with an immediate reaction from Roman Giertych, who in a sharp tone accused the politician of calling for war:

“Przydacz is calling for participation in a war with Iran. I suggest sending all of PiS there. Let them fight for Hormuz!” he wrote on the X platform.

The response came quickly. Marcin Przydacz accused his adversary of manipulation and a lack of understanding of the situation:

“You understood very little, Romek. But somehow that doesn’t surprise me. After all, the discussion here concerns a Western European fleet, not a Russian anti-EU cavalry,” he pointed out.

Giertych replied with another attack:

“Listen, boy. You can use first names with Karol when you hand him snus. As for the facts – you know very well (and if not, that’s even worse) that among NATO countries, Poland and France have the largest number of modern mine countermeasure vessels. Therefore, the participation of Europeans would also mean the participation of Poland,” he argued.

The culmination of the dispute was the minister’s strong response:

“Listen, you manipulator. It’s hard to address such a species otherwise. A lot has changed in Poland since the time when you encouraged cooperation with Russia, and much has also changed since you urged rejecting the offer to join the European Union,” he concluded, addressing the agitated Giertych.

The entire dispute is unfolding in the context of the blockade around the Strait of Hormuz, which remains one of the key chokepoints for global energy trade. Its disruption could have serious consequences for the global economy and Europe’s energy security. Roman Giertych completely fails to understand this.
