In a recent survey commissioned by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, almost 90% of Poles express support for the construction of nuclear power plants in Poland. This marks a historic high, with 77% indicating they would agree to have such a facility in their vicinity—a significant increase from previous years.
Growing Advocacy:
Results from November 2023 reveal a notable rise in staunch proponents of nuclear power in Poland, reaching 61.7% compared to 56.7% in 2022. Conversely, the percentage of those opposed has decreased to 7.2% from 5.7% in 2022.
Local Perspectives:
Encouragingly, 76.6% of respondents favor locating a nuclear power plant near their residences, showing a 5% increase from the previous year.
