“They are doing everything to make us disappear. Whether by cutting off our signal or through financial destruction – there is a lot of it. We do not talk about everything because we do not want to make things easier for the other side,” said Tomasz Sakiewicz, appealing for regular support for TV Republika.
Renovation work is currently underway in Studio S2 at TV Republika. During a morning program hosted by Adrian Klarenbach, the station’s president, Tomasz Sakiewicz, called for support for the broadcaster’s ongoing operations.
“All the actions taken by those in power have one goal – they want us gone. They know that scandals such as the pedophilia scandal in Kłodzko, scandals in the healthcare system, and scandals in the justice system, once revealed to the public, can seriously harm them,” he said.
“They want to shut us down even before the elections. They are doing everything to make us disappear. Whether by cutting off our signal or through financial destruction – there is a lot of it. We do not talk about everything because we do not want to make things easier for the other side,” he added.
He emphasized that “regular contributions are particularly valuable,” noting that “they build a foundation that greatly facilitates our operations while discouraging the other side.”
“What they did before the holidays with the Niezależne Media foundation, demanding the return of 5.5 million złoty, which we used to train members of electoral commissions and election observers, is further proof that we must constantly stay on our toes and that without you, we do not exist. This is the only television station whose existence is decided by its viewers,” Sakiewicz appealed.
