“Today we are dealing with a political circus, with no justice at all. I will not give up. I will speak the truth,” Robert Bąkiewicz said in front of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. The leader of the Border Defense Movement was charged today. The accusations include, among others, “incitement to murder Donald Tusk” and “incitement to hatred against Germany.”
This morning, Robert Bąkiewicz appeared at the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, where he heard the charges. The leader of the Border Defense Movement recalled that “this is already the third prosecutor’s office, because previously it was the District Prosecutor’s Office, which did not want to undertake these actions. Then it was the Regional Prosecutor’s Office – which also did not want to undertake these actions.”
A large demonstration of support for Robert Bąkiewicz took place in front of the prosecutor’s office building. Among the participants were the Gazeta Polska Clubs.
Bąkiewicz has been charged. Among them… “incitement to murder Donald Tusk.”
At the beginning of the conference, the leader of the Border Defense Movement assessed that “the charges are absurd.”
“The charges brought against me are incitement to murder Donald Tusk. This is an abstraction. We live in a world of people who should be treated psychiatrically, who should be stripped of the right to conduct this type of proceedings. This strikes not only at my constitutional rights – and those of every one of us – to freedom of speech. According to the prosecutor’s office, I am a man who calls for the murder of Donald Tusk. I don’t think I even mentioned him by name there, but the prosecutor knows better,” Bąkiewicz said, adding “this is a joke, this is a farce.”
“If we agree to this kind of proceedings against Robert Bąkiewicz, then in a moment absolutely no one will have the right to say anything,” he pointed out.
“Because the next charges – mine – are the loss of trust in Donald Tusk, that I expose him to a loss of trust. But also that I incite hatred against Germany, because I criticize that country for its historical policy. That I criticize them for World War II. Because they pushed migrants into Poland, implementing their migration policy at the expense of the Polish state,” he continued.
Another charge, as Bąkiewicz listed, is “incitement to hatred on the basis of nationality – against migrants.”
“Because I talk about the fact that migrants – through mass migration – and that this migration leads to an increased number of rapes of women. I remind you: dozens of times higher rates in Western countries that agreed to the practice of mass migration. Because I talk about the fact that those responsible for a huge number of crimes are migrants or their descendants – I thus refer to statistical data,” he explained.
In his view – “today we are dealing with a political circus, with no justice at all.”
“I hope we will send this government to the scrap heap of history, because otherwise I do not treat the charges of Prosecutor Magdalena Wiśniewska as anything other than political activity. I will not give up. I will speak the truth,” he admitted.
He highlighted that he did not plead guilty to the alleged acts and submitted his explanations.
