Robert Lewandowski’s Historic 9-Minute Goal Frenzy: Unforgettable September 22, 2015

On September 22, 2015, Robert Lewandowski delivered one of the most stunning performances in football history. Coming off the bench during Bayern Munich’s match against VfL Wolfsburg, the Polish striker netted an incredible five goals in just nine minutes. As he recalls, the moment remains surreal to this day. “I still can’t explain how it happened. It was an unbelievable nine minutes,” Lewandowski said in a past interview.

    A Comeback for the Ages

Bayern, managed by Pep Guardiola at the time, trailed 0-1 after the first half. Lewandowski entered the game after the break and immediately made an impact. His first goal came in the 51st minute, and within 539 seconds, he had scored five times. Reflecting on the match, Lewandowski admitted he was in a “trance” and didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of his accomplishment until months later.

Lewandowski’s achievement set four Guinness World Records, including the fastest hat-trick (3:22) and fastest five goals (8:59). His record-breaking performance remains a milestone in football, unmatched by any other player in such a short span.
