Różański Defeats Babic in First Round of KnockOut Boxing Night 27

Łukasz Różański (15-0, 14 KOs) defeated Croatian Alen Babic (11-1, 10 KOs) in the fight of the evening at KnockOut Boxing Night 27 and won the WBC federation world bridger belt. The fight ended during the first round, after less than two minutes.

The fight, which was contracted for 12 rounds, started almost half an hour late due to a problem with the Croatian’s gloves.

Polish fighter Łukasz Różanski launched an aggressive attack in the opening seconds of his match against his Croatian opponent. His relentless punches soon paid off, with the Croatian fighter being counted out after only two minutes of the fight. After the referee restarted the fight, it was quickly stopped again a few seconds later as Różanski’s onslaught of punches refused to relent. The fighter from Czarna Sędziszowska near Rzeszów was declared the victor.

Thus Różański became the fifth Polish world champion in professional boxing. It was previously achieved by Dariusz Michalczewski, Tomasz Adamek, Krzysztof Włodarczyk and Krzysztof Głowacki.

His previous fight in the professional ring was in May 2021. At that time, he defeated Artur Szpilka.
