Ruchniewicz’s resignation settled? “No one wants to continue endorsing what is happening”

“The resignation of Krzysztof Ruchniewicz is certain, because the scale of criticism within the coalition has far exceeded individual voices. This has become a burden not only in terms of image but also politically,” revealed Marcin Fijołek in the podcast.

From the beginning, Krzysztof Ruchniewicz was a controversial candidate for president of the Pilecki Institute. The institution under his leadership, through its subsequent moves, has proven that these concerns were justified. Now, voices of opposition can be heard from nearly every side.

According to journalist Marcin Fijołek, the current Minister of Culture, Marta Cienkowska, has already held several talks with potential candidates who could replace Ruchniewicz in the position.

In the podcast Polityczny WF, the journalist said that the resignation of the IP (Instytut Pileckiego) president is “certain”. He emphasized that the decision was determined not only by criticism within the coalition, but also by the fact that the matter has become a political burden for those in power.

“No one wants to continue endorsing what is happening,” stressed Fijołek. He added that voices of criticism are being heard from all sides of the political spectrum.

“From what I know, Prof. Ruchniewicz will lose his position,” summed up the journalist.

It is not yet known, however, when the change at the head of the Pilecki Institute will take place.
