Russian Helicopter Violates Polish Airspace: “They Are Testing Our Readiness”

A Russian military helicopter from the Baltic Fleet violated Polish airspace over the territorial waters of the Republic of Poland in the Baltic Sea on Friday, according to the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.

On Friday evening, a Russian military helicopter belonging to the Baltic Fleet entered Polish airspace over the territorial waters of the Baltic Sea. As stated in the official communiqué, “the helicopter’s flight was monitored by the military radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces as well as by the civil systems of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PAŻP).”

“The air defence forces and resources on standby remained in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace. The nature of the incident suggests that Russia is testing the readiness of our air defence systems,”

assured the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.
