“Who has been harmed by the bomb threats we have been dealing with over the past three weeks? Of course, the President and his family, to some extent Jarosław Kaczyński and Sławomir Cenckiewicz. But who is the main victim? Clearly, the entire TV Republika and its journalists, whose premises were entered by the police. And yet, in the investigation, they have not been granted victim status. This is an unbelievable scandal,” said the CEO of the station, Tomasz Sakiewicz, on air at TV Republika.
“And why are they denying us victim status? Because we could demand access to the documents. This government behaves as if it wanted to conceal the perpetrators, and perpetrators are concealed when there are connections to them,” Sakiewicz said on Adrian Klarenbach’s program.
“They are rounding up all these small fry and showcasing it in the media. Some lawyer who most likely has nothing to do with these threats. But a narrative has already emerged that the lawyer has a relative in Law and Justice (PiS), so PiS staged a provocation against itself. Never mind that the lawyer is estranged from that relative, and that the relative is not a particularly important member of the party. This is exactly how mechanisms of slander, provocation, and disinformation are built. These are typical secret police methods,” he added.
“We do not have victim status, which is indefensible, and with the investigation being conducted in this manner, there is no chance I would believe that this government did not inspire it,” he stressed.
