Scarves With Pre-War Place Names Sold in Germany: “Is This Nation Changing?” Asks Matecki

“Stettin, Danzig, Gollnow, Kolberg, Breslau, Glogau, Grünberg within the borders of Deutschland  such maps can be bought at German marketplaces,” warns PiS (Law and Justice) MP Dariusz Matecki. And as for the reparations owed to Poland, there’s neither sight nor sound of them.

On September 1, 2022, a report was presented detailing the losses suffered by Poland as a result of German aggression and occupation during World War II. On October 3 of the same year, then-Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau signed a diplomatic note addressed to the German government concerning war reparations. In that note, Poland demanded, among other things, compensation for material and non-material losses in the amount of 6 trillion 220 billion 609 million PLN and restitution for damages.

Germany did not consider itself obligated to pay reparations, and later, Donald Tusk became Prime Minister of Poland, at which point the topic fell completely silent.

“Is this nation changing?” asks MP Dariusz Matecki in a video he shared on social media. He then shows scarves that can be purchased at German markets.

“This is supposedly Germany. We see Danzig, we see Stettin… This is how Germany views Poland today. Among many Germans, these extremely polonophobic tendencies, including a desire to reclaim territories east of the Oder, remain very strong,”

said the PiS MP.

“Today, Germany does whatever it wants with Poland,” Matecki remarked, also offering sharp criticism of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“Stettin, Danzig, Gollnow, Kolberg, Breslau, Glogau, Grünberg within the borders of Deutschland” – such maps can be bought at German marketplaces. Germany is Poland’s eternal enemy. Nothing has changed. And today, Poland is ruled by a German agent. We’ve allowed German influence to operate…,”

 Matecki wrote on X.
