Schnepf Provokes Again: Claims Nawrocki’s Appointment Marks the End of the “Era of Women in Poland”

Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf, a journalist with the TVP Info in liquidation, stated during a conversation with Professor Magdalena Środa—known for her staunchly left-wing views—that the appointment of Karol Nawrocki signals the end of the “era of women” in Poland.

Abortion Fantasies

At the beginning of the program, host Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf said:

“I’m going to present a thesis now—one I don’t personally like, and I hope, Professor, that you’ll refute it, although I fear you won’t. On June 1, 2025, the era of women in Poland came to an end.”

Środa disagreed slightly, saying:

“What has ended are certain opportunities that the rest of Europe embraced long ago—recognizing reproductive rights, women’s autonomy, and responsibility in matters of motherhood. In Poland, women continue to be treated in an infantilizing manner by both the Church and political authorities.”

“For me, the issue of abortion is fundamentally about the state’s attitude toward women. If the state treats women as full citizens, as individuals with autonomy, then of course they are entitled to make decisions regarding their family life, motherhood, and their own bodies. But if the state—like in Poland—treats women as second- or even third-class citizens, infantilizing them and denying them autonomy and responsibility, then it is the Church and politicians who make those decisions,” Środa continued.

Both women seem to overlook the fact that not all Polish women—indeed, not even a majority—share their left-wing views. Many oppose abortion, especially in the form promoted by today’s left-leaning circles: unrestricted and without limitations.
