Secure Financing for the “First Home” Program in Poland

Financing for Poland’s “First Home” program is fully secured, with more than 30,000 safe loans at a 2% interest rate, supplemented by government subsidies on monthly repayments. As of November 20, 2023, Santander Bank Polska will join the list of banks offering this program.

    Success and Security

Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, emphasizes the program’s financial stability. The number of new applications for secure 2% loans has halved since the program’s inception. All applications submitted so far by individuals seeking to buy their first home or apartment should be processed by the end of this year.

    Growing Popularity

The “First Home” program has received over 78,000 loan applications, resulting in 30,429 loan agreements and a total of over 12 billion PLN in loans. The average loan amount now stands at 402,000 PLN as of November 6, 2023.

    Rising Housing Savings Accounts

The program has also seen the creation of 4,134 Housing Savings Accounts, accumulating 15.146 million PLN (with an average balance of over 3,600 PLN). Currently, this instrument is offered by three banks: Alior Bank, Bank Pekao S.A., and PKO Bank Polski S.A., with negotiations underway with three more banks.
